2.22.21 JWC Update

Executive Summary:

* Poker Tournament
* Shamrocks
* Indoor Recess Kits Help Needed

Poker Tournament

Thank you Erin Warman, Angela Onyekanne, and the entire Poker Committee for all of the planning and hard work you put into making the Poker Tournament a success! It’s been a challenging year for fundraising and we’re grateful for your leadership on this event (and your flexibility).

Shamrock Shakedown

It’s time for Shamrock Shakedown! If you’re new to JWC, this fundraiser has it all: it requires stealthy behavior, it gives you the opportunity to wear a costume in public, and the fields of Shamrocks really brighten up Wyoming.

Order fields for your neighbors, your friends, your kids, your kids’ friends.

Sign up to be a JWC leprechaun and move fields of Shamrocks around Wyoming under the cover of darkness.

Indoor Recess Kit Help

Indoor recess kits have arrived for the primary schools and we need help assembling and organizing them. We will also need individuals to take the kits back to the primary schools. If you’re able to volunteer tomorrow (2/23), please meet at the Rec Center at 6pm.

Board Positions

Consider running for the JWC Board! The nominating committee is considering 2021-2022 board members. If you’re interested, please email Becca Barry. April 1 is the deadline to let the committee know that you’d like to run for board election! For more information about the board positions, please click here.

Disbursements Survey

If you have not yet done so, PLEASE fill out this form and share your vote about how our funds should be disbursed for the 2020-2021 year. It takes less than 5 minutes.

Service Sign Up

Below you will find the link for the January/February Sign-Up Genius.  We have some awesome opportunities and some really deserving organizations/individuals this month that need some of our JWC magic. Since February is a short month, sign-ups will run through the end of February.  Please make sure you sign up rather than just drop off donations as this is how we track our service hours for the year.  As always, reach out to Katie Conrad or the service chairs with questions!

If you know of an organization that could use volunteers or have an idea of how we could serve others , please let Katie know. Additionally, if you come across an opportunity for members to give back, please feel free to share with our JWC Facebook Group.
