12.15.20 JWC Update

Executive Summary:

* Kindness and Joy
* December Service SignUp
* JWC Masks

Light Up Numbers

Thank you so much for your help making Light Up happen this year. Because of your combined 300+ volunteer hours it was a great success. We sold almost 800 kits and that number does not include the kits sold to businesses, given to sponsors and donated to public spaces. We had over 18,000 luminaries lighting up Wyoming on Saturday.

It was an absolute pleasure to co-chair the event with Becky Gilbert and Victoria Reed and we are grateful for the hours contributed by the Light Up Committee, which helped to make this year spectacular.

Together we raised $13,198

Next up for fundraising: the first JWC online poker tournament! This event will take place in February.

Spread Kindness and Joy

If you are participating in the Kindness and Joy gift exchange, please remember to surprise your “secret sister” with a little “joy” by the end of the month. Spending limit should be kept to about $15.

Feel free to share kindness, photos or “thank you’s” on the JWC Member’s page.

December Service Update

Thank you to everyone for all of your hard work in service already this year!  The service SUG is a little lighter this month because we know it is a special time to spend with family.  We are still gathering information for ways we can support WCS primary teacher/staff and I will share this with you all when it’s ready.

I wanted to give a little shout out for one opportunity this month collecting gently used coats and winter accessories for St. Vincent de Paul.  Last night I got out all of the cold stuff from my kiddos and found 4 coats to donate!!  Get in those closets and let me know what you find. The barrell will be out in front of my house until Dec. 31st.  Happy Holidays everyone!
