04.06.20 – JWC Update

Hello ladies of JWC. Whew. It’s been a tough couple of weeks. We hope you are all doing well and adjusting to your new normal. This is a brief update this week. We know you all have a lot on your plates. We are so incredibly proud of the hard work that many of you are doing to help our community and beyond during this time. Please make plans to attend our next Virtual General Meeting to learn more about our next steps as an organization.

COVID-19, How You Can Help:

Here are some ways you can help right now. Please make sure to continue to post opportunities to help on the JWC Members Facebook Page.

  • Wyoming Carry-Out Connection is the City of Wyoming’s initiative to provide meals from our local businesses to those who need them. Please visit this link to learn more and participate.
  • Operation Medical Supplies is a local initiative to sew masks for healthcare providers and other workers who are coming in close contact with others. Our Kudos Kids team has already jumped into action to sew masks. Find out more here.
  • Heartfelt Tidbits is working with refugee families to ensure that they have everything they need to be healthy and safe during this time. For more information on helping please contact April Robles at roblesad@gmail.com.
  • Valley Interfaith is hosting a Drive-Thru Food Drive on Tuesday, April 7th, 2020 from 9 am to 11 am. The following items are needed: canned goods, boxed food, non-perishables, cleaning, and hygiene products.
